As an ardent student of photography and devotee of the classic black and white photographs by the mid-century masters I practice the medium with an eye toward graceful design. I view each frame as a discreet design project with the objectives of elegance, balance and precision.

Into the storm
We hadn't had much winter when a blast hit us Friday. Half a dozen inches fell in town and 15" were welcomed on the mountain. It was minus nine when I got the The Times this morning. In this shot Highway 64 eastbound vanishes into a threatening sky.
In fairness this was taken last year and it probably was spring. But it fit the theme of winter finally being upon us so I used it. I don't think it was through the windshield but was between TP and Taos.
As to Argentina, that's on my mind and I have been checking out digs in BA and Mendoza. Great party, amigo. Barkeep, more champagne!
Brrrr! We need the moisture, but that sure looks like an invitation to Argentina to me. Shooting through the windshield? Don't try this at home.
ReplyDeleteThis says it all, doesn't it? Fitful, cold. More like early spring than winter. But the below zero temperatures tell us differently.
ReplyDeleteVery nice image.
