Stop and look

This was taken a couple of years ago almost to the day when the valley floor was drizzly and raw while snow fell above 9,000 feet and the Sangre de Cristos were shrouded in windblown clouds.

  1. Your photograph taken during the bridge renovation shows many things, including the sky's clarity produced by a storm. I can almost feel the temperature and smell the air. It is a reminder that northern New Mexico has one of the great geological features of North America - the Rio Grande Gorge - and so often people merely drive across the bridge rather than stopping to look at this wonder. Thanks for the nudge.

  2. A long ribbon of road just emphasizes the beauty ahead. Great shot (as always).
