guide, sailor and musician Alain Comeau was among my initial efforts. Could he look more French?

Aren't these descents, as you call them, into different photographic processes, a thing of beauty? Glad you took that descent from film to digital, and continued to explore the world, including this shot of Alain Comeau. That French touch indeed.
